SP government launches bullying prevention campaign in state schools; watch video

The "Bullying. Enjoy another idea" campaign was launched this Wednesday (13), by the Government of the State of São Paulo. One of the actions will be the distribution of 250 thousand booklets (available here) for all teachers in the state network.

The material clarifies doubts about how to identify aggressors and victims, what the behavior of these children is and gives tips to help overcome problems.

During the launch of the campaign, the partnership between Facebook and the Cartoon Network channel was also announced, which promote the initiative "No More Bullying: Don't Stay Silent", which began last year in the United States and is now arriving in Brazil.

Through a fan page on the social network, it is possible to create groups to prevent acts of violence in schools and disseminate content such as videos, testimonials and information about bullying.

"Through this major awareness initiative and new actions to prevent bullying, our objective is to give greater scope to the work that is already being carried out with this same purpose in the state education network of São Paulo", declared the Secretary of Education, Herman Voorwald, to the press.

"Partnerships with institutions like Facebook and Cartoon Network are important for mobilizing society", he added.
