Brand invests in cuts for the gay public and is inspired by the universe of homoerotic art

FASHION THAT EXCITES, LITERALLY

When we talk about fashion, we are usually used to using adjectives such as colorful, modern, technological, futuristic, classic and, of course, sexy. An American brand aimed at men is making waves with provocative cuts and styles that go far beyond expectations, reaching the limit of exciting the imagination, among other parts of the body.

Created almost six years ago by designer Hubert Pouches (photo) and his partner – in life and in profession – Douglas Coats, the Rufskin Denim brand has its base located in San Diego, California, and from there it exports its pieces to consumers eager for a bold style in all parts of the world.

As the second name of the brand says, the strong point is the denim pieces, from light to dark, with or without stretch, but always very well cut as if they had been produced to order. The brand's other pieces are not far behind, they all look like they came out of the hottest erotic fantasies.

The strong aesthetic focus in the collection is explained by the fact that Hubert worked as a designer for many lines that were sold to the powerful Victoria's Secret, as well as to many large department stores. Douglas has also always been linked to beauty. At the beginning of his career he worked as director of some modeling agencies in San Diego, catapulting the careers of many beauties, male and female.

The result of the creation of the brand could not have been different. With their knowledge of fashion, design and what was really attractive, they dedicated themselves full time to the brand, which today stands out as one of the most original in the men's jeans market.

Their pants are beyond sexy, they have an ultra-low waist and a design that helps show off the best of your body. Inspiration was found in cinema, such as the classic "Querelle", by director Rainer Wener Fassbinder, and in homoerotic art, created by Finnish artist Touko Laaksonen, from the delicious comic series Tom of Finland.

Many jeans also borrow from the old American West and feature wider collars to be worn with cowboy boots. The brand even sells buckles for leather belts where the country theme is explicit. The choice is intentional, as this style refers to masculine universes that awaken many fantasies, just like the designs of uniformed men in the Tom of Finland universe or even the sailors in the film Querelle.

It is worth mentioning that Hubert also seeks inspiration here in Brazil. The designer constantly comes to the country not only to observe and absorb our "naturally sensual" culture, but to follow the production of some of his pieces, which are made in a textile hub in São Paulo.

Some foreign websites (www.10percent.com, www.pacificjock.com e www.erogenos.com) act as resellers of the brand. You can also access the brand's website by clicking on www.rufskin.com.
