In an interview at The Ellen DeGeneres Show (NBC), the actor Jim Parsons made a curious and humorous comment about Hollywood, a Netflix miniseries created by Ryan Murphy (GleeAmerican Horror Story) in which he stars.

“I went to several gay clubs when I was younger and I had never seen so many people naked at once. I don’t think this is legal in many places”, he joked.

“At first it was really strange and shocking. We were surrounded by so many naked people that I just tried not to look, but there came a time – and we spent hours filming these scenes – when I stopped trying not to look at some points.”

The miniseries will show characters from social minorities trying to make a career in the entertainment mecca of post-World War II United States – and, along the way, dealing with machismo, homophobia and racism.

Hollywood premieres on Netflix this Friday (May 1).
