Man arrested after simulating kidnapping to extort money from boyfriend

Life is, literally, a box of surprises... and you don't know who to trust. In Rondônia, a man was arrested after simulating his own kidnapping to extort money from his boyfriend. He told the police that he owed R$4 to a bank, but was demanding R$25 for his own ransom. The Cacoal Military and Civil Police were called after a call from the boy's sister, who had called the authorities after receiving a call about her brother's kidnapping. Shortly afterwards, the police discovered that it was all a setup by the boy, who had the support of two other young people. In testimony, he said that he knew that his boyfriend, with whom he had been together since 2010, had taken out financing. So, he saw the possibility of paying off the debt with the financial institution. The boy was taken to the police station with the other two young people.
