Cases of physical violence against LGBT people have become common in Brazil. And when it doesn't kill, it leaves lifelong consequences. A recent case of sexual abuse committed by a 23-year-old man, accused of raping a 31-year-old man, has generated repercussions and outrage. The case took place in Juazeiro, Bahia, last Wednesday, the 15th, when the victim was approached by the attacker and threatened with a knife to have oral sex. Smartly, the man punched his abuser in the testicles and managed to escape. After escaping, the victim was still chased by his attacker and, according to the local Military Police, attacked by the man, arrested on the same day. A fake gun and a 380 caliber cartridge, both intact, were seized from the accused. Everything was registered at the Juazeiro Police Station.
