A well-known advocate of the practice of homosexual conversion therapies called “gay cure” confessed to being gay after a private conversation was leaked by the group Truth Wins Out.
According to The Guardian, David Matheson, attributed the practices that led to his own homophobia and intolerance, feelings that were already rooted within him and that had lasted decades of his life.
After the conversation was leaked, David made a post on his Facebook, confirming his homosexuality and declaring that the decision took place last year, when he realized that he could no longer ignore his desire to have a relationship with a man. It was at this point that he divorced his wife, to whom he had been married for 34 years.
