Openly gay, David Yost, actor who gave life to the first blue ranger in the hero franchise, celebrated the first openly lesbian character in Power Rangers – The Movie. The yellow ranger, in the film that recently opened in cinemas around the world, played by actress Becky G, is homosexual.
On the TooFab website, Yost commented on the news and revealed that, at the time, he was being bullied by other actors for being gay.
"Obviously, I was very excited and happy that the producers and directors took action to represent the LGBTQI community," he told the website. "I think the character they chose is interesting and actually makes sense when I think about it."
