The 76-year-old singer played with her own hit and gay anthem, “I Will Survive” (“I will survive”, in literal translation into Portuguese), making a video on TikTok suggesting that, to survive, you need “just 20 seconds” – long enough to wash your hands.

She uses precisely the excerpt with the lines “Do you think I fell apart?/Do you think I lay down and died?/Ah, no, I don’t/I will survive/As long as I know how to love, I know I will be alive/I have all the life ahead.”
