Ibiza: discover an itinerary of the island that brings together gays from all over the world

It's incredible how just the name of this beautiful island brings us good memories of the sea, transparent and green beaches.

Beautiful, young, gay, cool and modern people from all over the world, who get together annually to enjoy its famous clubs and famous DJs, who make fame and money. Ibiza is the place to be, live, appear, date and enjoy life.

The island did not start “tourism” yesterday, it is a strategic point for many nationalities and has welcomed many people for centuries, from the Romans, Etruscans, pirates and hippies. Nowadays, the most frequent audience is those who like luxury and electronic clubs, which, by chance, gay tourists also love.

The LGBT community is very well received in Ibiza. As the guide explains, it is a land where neighbors don't bother to know what you say, eat, do and what your life is like. Everyone has space and respect for others. This energy can be felt at various moments during the trip.

Coming from Valencia, which is another wonderful destination in Spain, the flight arrived in Ibiza within an hour. The hotel chosen was the wonderful Ushuaia, built and designed for international “partygoers”.

Despite the luxury, the island is totally democratic and caters to all budgets, tastes and is home to various types of tourists, most of them in very “cool” moments: light, colorful or white clothes. The feeling of vacation is in the air and accompanies you throughout the day.

If you want more comfort when exploring the island, rent a motorbike or Smarters, available in Ushuaia. Bicycle is also a good option. In addition to the buses, which run to certain beaches. But some are almost deserted and do not have public transport.

In addition to parties and clubs, Ibiza has a lot of history to tell and show. During the day there are several tours to enjoy different regions. Of course, you have to take a day to visit the Calas which, translated, would be something like cliffs, those mini beaches of stone and sand, with a sea in transparent green and blue, wonderful. Irresistible for diving.

And for those who can: rent a speedboat and go from beach to beach, don't forget to go to Platges de Comte and Cala Bassa: super popular, have a great structure and are close by. Now, to get to know the island better, it's worth crossing and going to S'Illot D'es Rencli. The name is complicated in the local dialect, but the nature is postcard-perfect: blue sea, rocks, trees, small and welcoming beach.

If all that wasn't enough, there's also food at the El Bigotes restaurant, with tables around the cliff with that landscape that would make any traveler envious.

And gay Ibiza has an address on the beach, which is very famous among Europeans, Es Cavallet. A nudist beach, but you can choose to go with or without clothes. Like most beaches in Ibiza, it has a complete structure for chairs and tents. In addition to shops and the delicious Chiringay restaurant: the name says it all, here the LGBT community has complete freedom.

For the afternoon and early evening, the best suggestion is to visit the old Villa in the city wall, with its streets full of stories, white houses with colorful doors and windows and lots of flowers. Exit inside the old fort and, next to the wall, is Rua das Virgens, which is where an alley begins with several bars, restaurants, shops, aimed at the LGBT public.

From lively drag queens in bars and on the streets, to kids handing out leaflets, everything leads to getting to know the city's nightlife. And the cool thing is the look of the place, with its typical formats, houses that have been in existence for many years and its well-decorated and fun interior, like a bar that has swings (with rope and wooden bench) instead of benches. The pace is pure fun and relaxation.

As options for discovering gay tourism in Ibiza are many. Through the Department of Tourism, visitors can get a lot of special information, such as diving with one of the most beautiful catalogs, boat, bicycle, car rental, hiking, gastronomy, history and, of course, partying in a place that today its name means electronic party: Pacha, synonymous with beautiful, modern, up-to-date people who are happy with life.
