A gay and autistic teenager from England, Cameron Warwick, committed suicide at the age of 16 after suffering for years with depression and bullying. The information is from the newspaper Daily Mail.
According to the boy's mother, Kerry, students at the school her son attended teased him by throwing food at him during breaks and intimidating him in the hallways.
Still according to the Daily Mail, Cameron's mental health status was known to his friends at school; A friend of the teenager confirmed to the newspaper that she had witnessed her friend being attacked. Cameron was under pressure because of exams he was taking to get into university.
The boy came out as gay at the age of 12 and lived in the town of Fareham, Hampshire, with his family. He was found hanged in September 2019, in the forested area of Fort Fareham Woods, and his death was officially classified by local authorities as a suicide.
