England and Wales authorize gay marriage

It's official: from next Saturday (29) gay men and women in England and Wales will be able to get married.

The law approved by the Westminster parliament last year only comes into force this weekend. The new law equates homosexual marriage with heterosexual marriage. Gays will be able to get married in city halls and religious temples that authorize them.

Recent search, similar to carried out in Brazil by Ipea, showed that 68% of English people are completely in favor of same-sex marriage.
