England will create a special commission to end new HIV transmissions in the country. Together with local organizations, they want to evaluate new ways to fight the virus by 2030.
“We have a unique opportunity to end HIV transmission in England. This is a huge challenge, but it is one that we can achieve if we harness the resources and capacity that have made the UK a pioneer in HIV prevention, treatment and support for almost 40 years,” said Dame Inga, former CEO of Lloyd's of London, to Gay Star News.
The project will receive help from the UK government, which will convene a group of experts to develop a plan and end new HIV transmissions.
