Instagram will censor photos with “sensitive” content

If you follow profiles of muscular men on Instagram because of their sensual photos, know that your fun days may be numbered. The application's management announced that it will reinforce the monitoring of content considered by them to be “sensitive”. Photos and videos with nude content or that refer to intimate parts of the body will be censored, or better yet, blurred. This does not mean that the user will no longer see the image, but they will have to click more than once on the blurred photo to see the full photo. “While some posts do not violate our guidelines, the community has reported them and our team has confirmed that they are sensitive,” said Kevin Systrom, CEO of Instagram on the Instagram blog. “This change means there is less chance of having unwanted experiences in our application.” Currently, the application censors images with nudity, explicit violence, terrorist propaganda, spam, pornography and hate speech.
