Jesus' interpreter clarifies whether the character is gay on The Walking Dead

Fans of comics The Walking Dead know that the character Jesus, from the Hilltop community, is homosexual in Robert Kirkman's magazines – however, his appearances in the series have not yet clarified whether the same happens on TV.

“I don’t see any reason why people thought it was different on TV,” commented Tom Payne on the subject, practically confirming that the character is gay. “That's one of the things I like most about the way Robert Kirkman writes. Of course he's gay and he's a tough guy, why wouldn't he be?”

 
The chapter “Sing Me a Song” (7×07), penultimate in the series this year, will air on December 04th.
