I'm tired of being defined by my sexual orientation. Of being called “those people”, “that ilk”, “that little shame”.
When I kiss my girlfriend does a tree fall? Does a child die somewhere in the world? Does anyone become incapacitated? Is the economy going into chaos? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM IF I AM HOMOSEXUAL?
I have a degree, twice a postgraduate degree, honest, hardworking, integrity, a good daughter, sister, girlfriend, citizen. There is nothing that diminishes me.
There is much more to worry about in our country than other people's sexuality. Why don't they look at the public health chaos? For the indecency of the embezzlement of funds, the political scandals? For crimes that remain unpunished? In fact, aren't the massive majority of perpetrators of all crimes heterosexual? What hypocrisy is this?
I'm homosexual, yes! And I'm much more of a woman than a lot of heterosexuals combined! I am VERY PROUD of being who I am and there is no one who can shake that.
Look at your own lives, at your own problems, at your own littleness.
