Ivete Sangalo praises transsexual councilor Léo Kret's project

Singer Ivete Sangalo received the Castro Alves award, for "Best Female Performance", at Carnival 2010, in Salvador, from transsexual councilor Léo Kret.

During the award ceremony, Ivete praised the " Nosso Bairro Feliz " project, created by the councilor, which benefits a needy neighborhood in the capital of Bahia once a month with various social actions.

"I think Bairro Feliz is cool, where you bring different bodies and services to needy neighborhoods. Congratulations Léo, I've been following your work, see? Keep it up," said Ivete.

In 2008, Léo Kret from Brazil was the only transsexual elected in all of Brazil with 12.861 votes.
