JK Rowling was “cancelled” once again this Monday (29).

The 54-year-old British writer, author of the series Harry Potter and detective fiction using the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, has caused outrage by tweets he made in early June – interpreted by many people out there as transphobic.

This Monday, Rowling thanked, on Twitter, the writer Stephen King for “supporting” her by sharing on her profile a tweet in which Rowling wrote a quote from feminist author Andrea Dworkin, in which she argues that “women's opinions are treated as attacks” by men.

Then, the British woman said that she had always “venerated” King, but her “love” for the author increased after he made what, apparently, she interpreted as an endorsement.

“It's much easier for men to ignore women's concerns or put them down, but I'll never forget the men who took a stand when they didn't need to. Thank you, Stephen,” wrote the author of Harry Potter.

"Yes. Trans women are women”, replied the American. Soon after, Rowling deleted the thank you.

The writer's attitude caused outrage on Twitter, and once again, she was intensely criticized for her comments about transgender people.
