Joe Biden promises to revoke Trump's veto on trans military personnel

Democratic presidential candidate in the United States, Joe Biden, celebrated the ninth anniversary of the repeal of a US army policy, which prohibited homosexual members from joining the armed forces.

But a 2018 decree from President Donald Trump still prohibits trans military personnel from being part of the military, and Biden promises to end it.

“As president, I will direct the Department of Defense to allow transgender service members to serve openly, receive necessary medical treatment, and be free from discrimination. If I have the privilege of being the next president, I will make sure our American heroes know that I will honor their sacrifice always, no matter who they are or who they love,” commented Joe Biden in his article for LGBTQ Nation.
