Player is cut from the Brazilian team and rumors about a gay affair gain strength around the world

The right-back Maicon (photo on the right) was cut from the Brazilian team on Sunday (7). And the CBF's delay in explaining the motivations generated the comment that the athlete was excluded from the team because he had an affair with the midfielder Elias.

Even after the Band reporter, Fernando Fernandes, claiming that the reason was "indiscipline", the comments only grew. And they realized that they were caught in a gay relationship.

Elias, who remains in the national team and is married to a woman, claims that he initially laughed at the gossip, but that the worldwide repercussion will motivate him to sue the authors of the rumor. "It's really bad for people to believe in nonsense like that."

The player states that "he is not against homosexuals, but that he is not one". "I was surprised by the repercussions, I laughed, my wife didn't care much either. But things have taken on such a proportion that I'm going to have to act. Because if there were any other way, you know how it would end."

He continues: "These people who talked nonsense are going to have to pay, because I'm going to take action."

The humor website "Olé do Brasil" took responsibility for the network's rumor. In a statement, they apologized and said that "it is not a communication vehicle, but an entertainment blog made by friends" and that the intention was not to harm anyone.
