Players from famous Italian team post photos holding hands and fans speculate about dating

As we well know, football is still a very sexist and homophobic, see recent cases where the Brazilian team was ordered by FIFA to pay compensation for the bad behavior of its fans.

However, in the midst of all this, there are always those who want to make a difference, like the fans of the Paysandu team, who decided to abolish the chants of "faggot", commonly directed at their opponents on game days. Even so, openly homosexual players are rare, but perhaps this scenario is changing.

The Spanish full-back Patric Gabarrón and the Senegalese striker, Keita Baldé, both athletes from Lazio, an Italian championship team, caused a stir on a famous social network on Sunday 04th, after posting the same photo on their profiles, where they both appear holding hands. Enigmatically, the publication suggests that the two are in a relationship, although they did not make this clear.

In the image, in addition to the players holding hands, it is possible to see an illustration of a heart and two emojis with male faces, which, theoretically, would be theirs.

Among the comments on the publication, some homophobic comments can be read. However, there are fans wishing the "couple" happiness and praising the professionals' attitude.

"Let's hope this inspires others to take over too. Very brave of you to do this with the Italian ultras scene", says a follower. "Wow! Much respect for you, it could be a point of transformation for homosexual men in sport", highlighted another fan.
