According to the newspaper O Popular, a 17-year-old teenager was attacked by his father and sister shortly after coming out as gay. He didn't remain silent and went to file a police report at the city police station.

The young man, who preferred not to identify himself, said that he had always suffered aggression, but that now it had intensified. The biggest attack came from his sister, who attacked him with a helmet, last Friday (21).

"I have always suffered prejudice. Several times I was left out of the house when I went out. In the last argument, my father said that he wanted me to bring a girlfriend. It was at that moment that he slapped me in the face and my sister started to attack me. attacking me with his helmet, leaving me with bruises on my arm and mouth", he said.

The young man was taken to Santa Casa and is undergoing medical care. He no longer contacted his father and, after removing his belongings from the residence, with the help of the Municipal Guard, he began to live with two friends.

The case was forwarded to the city's Guardianship Council and is monitored by the Mogi Mirim Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center. "It's all very difficult, many people have the wrong idea of ​​what it means to be gay. Today I'm getting back on my feet and I know who I can count on."
