“I was doing what I've always done my whole life, but some days were torture. I knew I was gay, but I didn't know how to deal with it. I saw that it would be difficult to come out and continue competing. That’s why I decided to leave”, declared the judoka, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper “Marca”.
