Justice suspends Bolsonaro government's censorship against LGBT films at Ancine

Last Monday (7), the Federal Court of Rio de Janeiro ordered the suspension of the effects of an ordinance issued by the Ministry of Citizenship, which censored and prevented the completion of an Ancine notice, for productions with LGBT themes. The information is from G1.

Judge Laura Bastos Carvalho highlighted that the delay in concluding the competition could cause losses to public coffers. She also highlighted another section that initially “irrelevant” allegations presented by the ministry to suspend the competition, give evidence that the discrimination mentioned may be being practiced.
