Juventude Sem Terra marches in Bahia to end homophobia

Between the 5th and 8th of May, the Landless Movement held marches in favor of sexual diversity and against violence. The march went from Camaçari to Salvador and brought together 3 landless people from nine regions of Bahia.
“Homophobia exists in the countryside and in the city. We are in favor of diversity. We need to demystify prejudice against homosexuals, and I believe that youth must be the protagonists of this fight”, said Luana Soares, from the MST state youth collective for Fórum magazine.

During the march it was possible to see boys dressed as girls and girls dressed as boys. The main objective of the action was to show that everyone is equal and there is no reason for prejudice.
