Cristália Laboratory ordered to compensate employee fired for being gay

Cristália laboratory condemned

The court ordered the pharmaceutical laboratory Cristália to pay compensation of R$25 to an employee who was fired after revealing that he is gay.

The researcher had been working at the company, which is located in Itapira, for five years, and claims that he was fired five days after admitting to his area manager that he was dating another laboratory employee, who also ended up being fired.

In a statement, the laboratory claimed that the former employee was dismissed because the project he was working on had been cancelled.
