Lady Gaga is in talks to perform at the next Super Bowl

Could it be our dream?

Lady Gaga is almost almost being part of one of the biggest shows on the planet: the Super Bowl (American football final) in 2017.

According to billboards,  Gaga is negotiating for the 51st final, scheduled for February 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Huston.

One of the biggest reasons the NFL was in the singer's sights was the performance of the national anthem at the 2016 Super Bowl. That year, Coldplay — with guests like Beyonce and Bruno Mars — shared the stage.

“We talked to some fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we do not have a final decision yet,” an NFL representative told Billboard when asked about Gaga. “We are happy, there are a lot of expectations about the show.”

Gaga is coming off some high-profile performances in recent years, including a 2015 Oscar performance that was followed by an Oscar nomination the following year for best song "'Til It Happens to You" (written for the documentary The Hunting Ground ). Gaga also won a Golden Globe in 2016 for best actress in the TV Miniseries or TV Movie category for her role in the FX series American Horror Story: Hotel.

She released a new song, "Perfect Illusion," on September 9 — her first single from her upcoming album, which is executive produced by Mark Ronson and features collaborations with Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, Beck and Father John Misty. While no release date has been announced, Gaga told Elvis Duran on September 12 that the album is expected “very soon.”

And you, are you happy with the prospect of Gaga's Super Bowl? Which artist would you like to see in this show that stops the world for a few minutes every year?
