Snack bar in Acre makes transphobic joke with Pabllo Vittar on menu

“X-Pabllo Vittar: two eggs and a sausage.”

A snack bar in Rio Branco made this transphobic joke with the singer Pabllo Vittar, a drag queen, when promoting a signature dish on the menu. The information is from G1.

The joke was promptly criticized on social media and Germano Marino, president of the LGBT NGO Forum, warned the owner of the establishment, Juari Florencio, that “this is a crime of transphobia”, who understood the situation and apologized.

“I did it with no intention of offending anyone, I just thought the formation of the sandwich was interesting, but unfortunately it didn’t give a positive result,” the businessman told G1. “I made a note of clarification [see below], apologizing and explaining the situation. I never wanted to offend, ever. I'm even a fan of Pabllo Vittar.”

Marino told the website that the LGBT NGO Forum will not take legal action. “He made the note and apologized. As a forum, we are not going to take legal action, even because he made the retraction and we do not want to harm anyone”, he said.

See below the image with the prejudiced publicity and, below, the post on Facebook in which the establishment takes a position regarding what happened.
