Léo Áquilla is prevented from staying in a hotel in São Paulo

In a video posted yesterday on YouTube, Léo Áquilla reports the prejudice she suffered from the management of a hotel in São Paulo, where she tried to stay on Sunday (26/06), right after the LGBT Pride Parade.

According to Léo, the "Vitrine" hotel, located at Av. Ataliba Leonel, number 44, prevented her from staying there, claiming that they do not accept "those types of people" in their accommodation. Outraged, Léo went to the nearest police station and filed a police report.

"Now I'm going to call the competent bodies. I called the CADS (Coordination of Sexual Diversity Affairs), I'm going to call the press, and I'm going to make the necessary fuss so that the staff at this hotel understand that we must be treated equally. We are human beings and my money is no different from anyone else", said Léo Áquilla.

With the police report in hand, Áquilla stated that he intends to open a case against the hotel. "I'm showing this to serve as an example, so that everyone who feels embarrassed in some way does the same." Searched for on the website The Cape, the management of the "Vitrine" hotel declined to comment.
