Leonardo has just found itself in a huge public relations crisis – and, of course, with LGBT people.

In a show held last Sunday (15), the country singer made a terrible comment in which he linked the coronavirus to HIV and the lesbian, gay, bi and trans population.

“Thirty million in Brazil have HIV. Let's be honest? Nobody uses a condom. Now 900 confirmed cases have to wear a mask?”, he told the public. “I came to the conclusion that dying while fucking is better than dying coughing.”

“Thirty million” Brazilians with HIV? Hey? Leonardo did not mention where he got this strange statement from. According to the Ministry of Health, 866 thousand people in Brazil have HIV, and 593 thousand are under treatment.

Furthermore, as the website points out Pheno, “it doesn’t make any sense to put diseases on the same level currently since COVID-19 is considered a pandemic, while the HIV epidemic has already been stabilized.”
