The analyst was with two friends in a cafeteria at number 900 when, around 1 am, her friend crossed the street and kissed her. A group of eight people, including two girls, started saying “how disgusting! I’m disgusted by lesbians.”
“They were two girls who could easily be confused with homosexuals. The whole group seemed at least gay friendly”, L tells the Estadão newspaper.
Still in the cafeteria, L began to hear provocations from the group that stopped half a block away. “I don’t know what kind of people these are. It has to die. You have to create shame on your face”, they shouted. That was when L went to get satisfaction and asked what the problem was.
“One of them pushed me and the other held me. Then they punched me. I have a wound on my forehead on the right side, my left eye is black and my mouth is also injured.”
According to the Estadão report, until last night the victim had not yet filed a complaint. According to Adriana Galvão, president of the committee on sexual diversity and combating homophobia at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), São Paulo region, it is important to file a police report to help locate the aggressors.
“All people who suffer aggression should contact Decradi (Racial Crimes and Intolerance Police Station), which tries to identify these attackers”, explained Adriana Galvão.
