Lux: classic ballad from Belém do Pará is guaranteed fun

Club Lux was the stage on Monday (20/04) for the closing of the III Congress of ABGLT – Brazilian Association of Gays, Lesbians, Transvestites and Transsexuals. One of the oldest nightclubs frequented by the gay public in Belém, Lux is known by its regulars as "the party for people who don't have faces". In fact, big guy was the last thing seen there.

The Congress delegation arrived around 0:30 am and the house was already full. But the frills really start to catch on at 1:30 in the morning. At the entrance, there is a great lounge with several sofas and televisions built into the wall, where videos with international music divas are shown, including Madonna and Beyoncé.

On the track there is a second bar where the service works well. Another interesting detail is that the club does not operate on a command basis, you pay and consume immediately. This avoids those unbearable queues at the end of the night. The price is very reasonable – the place has a promotion of four beers for R$ 10. You can see that the flirting goes on freely on the dance floor, and the people who frequent the club really enjoy dancing and hugging. If you understand me…

The music doesn't deviate much from the gay club standard. What differentiates is that the house focuses more on drag music and less on house. The atmosphere is positive and very festive. The nightclub's production takes great care of shows with gogo boys. At least six danced on the stage, which is in the middle of the dance floor, and drove the kids present crazy. Another very comfortable space in the house is the cabin, from where you can have a very wide view of what is happening on the track.

Lux, as well as Boka Xica, is in the center of Belém, but with one more detail. The facade makes it very clear that it is a gay club. Numerous rainbow flags serve as decoration. At the reception desk, a huge flag of the gay movement illustrates the hall. Anyway, Lux and Boka Xica are two places you have to visit when you go to Belém do Pará.
