The couple Scott Moore and Thomas were born female and after surgery and hormonal treatments they became men. Scott, who was born Jessica, realized he wanted to be a man at age 11, when he reached puberty. He then removed her breasts, but did not want a penis and kept her reproductive organs.
Today, at 30 years old, Scott is pregnant. "Many criticize us, but we are happy and have no shame. I want to show the world that transgender families can be healthy, loving and caring," said Scott, who became pregnant after treatment and will give birth next month.
Scott is legally married to Thomas – the California government still considers him a woman – and already cares for two adopted children, Gregg, 12, and Logan, 10, children of Thomas's ex-girlfriend.
