Marina changes her speech and says she is in favor of gay adoption and against homophobia

The current PSB candidate for president of the republic, since the tragic death of Edward Fields, the environmentalist Marina Silva was questioned by a voter about the civil rights of LGBT people.

And if in 2010 Marina was against gay marriage, this Wednesday (20) the candidate's team brought a more "friendly" speech and claimed that Marina defends in her program the adoption of children by same-sex couples and the criminalization of homophobia.

+ What Eduardo Campos said about LGBT rights

"Marina considers that stable same-sex relationships should have the same civil rights as hetero-affective relationships. The Federal Supreme Court has already given this union the status of civil marriage. The legal issue on the subject is, therefore, resolved in Brazil. In a manner Similarly, Marina is in favor of the adoption of children by homosexual couples", informs the response.

The candidate also guaranteed that she will defend the criminalization of homophobia, just as she criminalizes racism. "The program was supposed to be launched this week, but it wasn't because there was the tragedy that killed Eduardo Campos," she explained.

+ Gay lies on TV that he saw Eduardo Campos' body and it becomes a joke

According to a report in the newspaper O Dia, the new candidate for vice president, Beto Albuquerque, is also in favor of the LGBT issue, abortion and a critic of religion in politics. The report emphasizes that the choice was related to the attempt to balance Marina's "radical" image, "giving the weight and counterweight that the alliance between Campos and her had."

Marina's new statements divided opinions. While some expressed on the internet that they approved the change in favor of LGBT rights, others claimed that it was nothing more than a political strategy to garner votes.
