Marta Suplicy meets with deputies from the Mixed Parliamentary Front to discuss PLC 122

Senator Marta Suplicy (PT-SP) will meet with coordinators of the Mixed Parliamentary Front for LGBT Citizenship, created to defend the interests of the community in the National Congress, to resolve any misunderstanding that may have existed in relation to PLC 122, which aims to criminalize homophobia in the country.

This week, it was announced that the project would be shelved, information that Suplicy's advisor denied in a note sent to the press this Tuesday (5).

The meeting with the coordinators of the Parliamentary Front will take place next Tuesday (12), at 11 am, in the room of the 1st vice-presidency of the Senate. The letters were sent today and signed by Suplicy and senator Marinor Brito (PSOL-PA) to deputies Jean Wyllys (PSOL-RJ); Manuela DÁvila (PCdoB-RS); Erika Kokay (PT-DF); Fátima Bezerra (PT-RN); Janete Rocha Pietá (PT-SP); Artur Bruno (PT-CE); Dr. Rosinha (PT-PR); in addition to senator Lídice da Mata (PSB-BA).

The Mixed Parliamentary Front for LGBT Citizenship was officially launched in March this year and is made up of 171 parliamentarians from different parties.
