Marvel comics goes back and allows any publication to have a gay character

After announcing last week that it would only publish gay characters in its “rated-r comic books” (comic magazines aimed at people over 18 years of age), publisher Marvel Comics decided to review its policy and reversed its decision. “In many ways, the rule that we have followed in recent years has gradually disappeared, so I can now say that there are no longer any rules”, declared the editor-in-chief of the publisher, Joe Quesada, to the specialized website Newsrama. According to the website, Quesada states that Marvel Comics currently has more gay characters than its entire history. The highlight is the new superhero Freedom Ring, from the Marvel Team-up series.
