American Dominique “SonicFox” won the award for best eSports player of the year at The Game Awards 2018, he appeared dressed in his traditional fox costume and sent a message of support for the LGBTQ+ and Furry communities.
– This is a great honor. I really enjoy playing video games competitively. I never did it for fame... As you may also know – or many don't know – I'm also super gay, so I want to give a message to my LGBTQ+ friends who have always helped me in life. Obviously I'm a furry, so shout out to the furries. I guess all I have to say is that I'm gay, black, furry – pretty much everything a Republican hates – and the best sports player of the year, I think. Thank you very much – said SonicFox.
