Last Saturday afternoon (20/02), in the Leblon neighborhood, a kiss between two girls was the cause of commotion during the parade of a carnival group.
A 50-year-old man made the complaint stating that it was pedophilia. The two young women were 17 and 19 years old. "He said he saw two girls kissing and thought that one was underage. He thought that in this case it would be wrong for a minor to kiss an adult. But, from the witnesses, it was verified that there was no corruption of minors" , said delegate Gustavo Valentini.
The 19-year-old girl, who preferred not to identify herself, believes she was a victim of prejudice. "My kiss wasn't aggressive at all, it's a kiss like any other carnival kiss, something that happens. It didn't need to have caused the confusion it caused", he defended himself.
With the complaint made at the 14th DP (Leblon), the girls were released with the police officer's guarantee that kissing is not a crime. "If there was no corruption of minors, or violence or serious threats, it is not a crime," he told G1.
