On Sunday (29), Praça da Estação, in the center of Belo Horizonte, was taken over by a crowd willing to protest against homophobia and criticize the use of religious values in the National Congress.
Under the theme “Secular State: your religion is not our law”, the 16th LGBT Pride Parade brought together around thousands of people. Two electric trios pulled and accompanied the demonstration throughout its entire route. The rain did not inhibit the participants, who, around 16:30 pm, performed a big kiss.
At the end of the route, protesters closed Avenida Afonso Pena and continued to Av. Professor Moraes. According to the military police, the Parade took place without major incidents.
