Half of the public at the São Paulo LGBT Parade admits sex without a condom

A survey published by the newspaper Folha de São Paulo caused debate this weekend. All because half of the participants in this year's LGBT Pride Parade, which took place on June 7th on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, admitted to having sex without a condom.

The data comes from a survey by the State Department of Health with 239 participants between 14 and 24 years old, 69% homosexual and 31% bisexual.

In the question, participants answered whether they had sex with or without a condom during sexual intercourse prior to the event. Among those who said they did not use it, 28% claimed to have a steady partner, 26% said they only had sex with women (in the case of lesbians), 11% said they did not like condoms, 10% said they did not have time or forgot and 5% claimed not be necessary.
