Jubiratan Esquivel Campos, 19, was arrested last Monday, 23/10, in the Bahian city of Santo Antonio de Jesus, accused of the murder of Fábio José da Silva Sampaio. The victim was found by his parents with more than twenty stab wounds. In testimony, Jubiratan confessed to the crime. “After the program, he [Fábio] took two knives, a fish knife and the other with a saw, and threatened to cut off my penis. We started fighting and I managed to take one of the knives from his hand and stabbed him in the neck.” In addition to the murder, the man stole several electronic devices, jewelry, credit cards and two cell phones. The accused had fled to Itabuna and returned to Santo Antonio de Jesus to visit relatives. An uncle, suspicious of Jubiratan's cell phone, reported him to the police.
