Michelle Obama reaffirms her husband's commitment to the LGBT cause

Michelle Obama, wife of US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, said her husband will fight for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights if elected.

During a dinner for the national gay and lesbian committee she represents, this Thursday (26), in New York, Michelle reaffirmed Barack's previous commitment to supporting homosexual rights.

“Barack believes he needs to fight for a world where together we can work to reverse discriminatory laws,” said the Democratic candidate’s wife.

Michelle also took the opportunity to remember Stonewall's anniversary, which is almost 40 years old. “We are only here because of those who marched, bled and died fighting for a more perfect union.”
