The Public Ministry of Pernambuco (MPPE) created last Monday (29) the Homoaffective Law Commission.
The organization aims to exclusively serve the LGBT community in the fight against homophobia. The group will be made up of activists and researchers, who will meet monthly.
"This is the first step to discussing the matter, stimulating the debate. The important thing is that from now on there is specific work", declared the attorney general of Pernambuco, Aguinaldo Fenelon.
As material, MPPE will use data collected in its own research carried out among the LGBT community and through NGOs, which work in the follow-up, in addition to studies carried out by the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE)
