Minister Damares declares that the gay movement is “ideological and partisan”

As always, Minister Damares Alves is against the LGBTQ+ movement, and a 2014 video made this increasingly clear.

While she preached at an evangelical church in Belém do Pará, the minister states that the movement that defends the LGBTQ_ population is not made up of homosexuals, but rather people who are financed by certain political parties to promote gender ideology.

“I know a lot of people who are in the Gay Movement who are not gay. Make no mistake, the Gay Movement is not gay. It is an ideological, partisan and political movement and is at the service of some parties in Brazil”, declared Damares Alves.

She also mentioned two parliamentarians who are from left-wing parties and who would be the leaders of the movement. She said that they were conspiring against the evangelical church, saying that they are homophobic. The politicians she was referring to were Jean Wyllys (PSOL-RJ) and Érica Kokay (PT-DF).
