Last Monday (12), the creation of the Technical Committee on Culture for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals, created by the Minister of Culture Marta Suplicy, was announced in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The Committee will be made up of people linked to LGBT culture, two members from academia and community representatives with knowledge in the area. The names are yet to be chosen.
The objective of the creation is to support actions that value and give visibility to the artistic expressions of the LGBT class, as well as programs to encourage the fight against homophobia and prejudice.
