Miss Brasil Transex 2 will take place in São Paulo on June 2008nd. The contest, which is in its 15th edition this year, will elect the most elegant, sophisticated and sensual transsexual in the country. This year, the event's godmother will be model Viviane Araújo.
On the judging panel will be makeup artist and hairdresser Rogério Magalhães, actresses Samantha Dalsoglio, Rosi Campos, Luciana Vendramini and Leila Lopes, among other personalities and businesspeople from São Paulo's nightlife scene.
The first Miss Brasil Transex took place in 1993 and is still led by transsexual Rosana Star. Around 22 thousand people have already attended the event in all its editions.
Last year, Pâmela Soares, 19, from Rio de Janeiro, was crowned Miss Brazil Transex. She competed with 26 other transsexuals from all over Brazil. Second place, which gave her the title of princess, went to Alessandra Castro from Bahia. The representative of São Paulo, Roberta Fiuri, 23, finished the national contest in third place. Gretchen and her daughter, Thammy, were the pageant's bridesmaids.
The 15th Miss Brasil Transex takes place next Monday, starting at 20pm, at Parque Anhembi (Elis Regina Auditorium).
