Transsexual model Carol Marra debuts in two TV series; come find out!

Carol Marra has already turned down several roles on TV because they were transgender characters. The model, who intends to have sex change surgery later this year, says that she does not intend to be stigmatized for her gender identity.

"I've been called for other jobs as an actress, but I didn't accept them because they were transsexual roles. I'm a trained actress and actors don't have sex. There are so many heartthrobs who are gay and always play the good guy…", he declared in an interview with Época.

Having decided, the actress knew how to wait for the best opportunities and is now about to debut in two TV series. In the first, "Psi", which will be shown on HBO from March 23rd, Carol plays Patricia, an actress from a theater group who has a love affair with actor Vitor Mendes' character.

In the second series, "Medical Secrets", on Multishow, the actress plays a sophisticated woman who discovers she is a victim of a rare type of cancer. The premiere is scheduled for April this year.

Meanwhile, Carol Marra prepares to perform her surgery. "I was going to do it last year here in Brazil, but it's a lot of bureaucracy. I'm already talking to a clinic in Thailand and as soon as my schedule allows, I'll do the surgery," she said.
