Elisa Mascaro, businesswoman and queen of São Paulo's LGBT nightlife, dies

Elisa Mascaro died last Tuesday (16), at the age of 78. The businesswoman was a reference and considered the queen of gay nightlife in São Paulo.

Between the 70s and 90s, Elisa was the owner of the main gay nightlife venues in São Paulo, including Corintho, a legendary gay nightclub that provided space for gay and trans artists to perform their shows.

This public was discriminated against in the city's nightclubs for a long time and gained space with the businesswoman, who will forever be marked in history.
