Loleatta Holloway, diva from Marky Mark's hit “Good Vibrations”, dies

Singer Loleatta Holloway died on Monday (21). Born in 1946, the American diva passed away at the age of 64, victim of a "quick illness", according to her manager. Unofficial sources say the cause was cardiac arrest and that she suffered from diabetes.

Loleatta was one of the divas of disco music, recording hits in the late 70s and early 80s, some of them as a special appearance – such as "Relight my Fire", by Dan Hartman.

And it was with a "luxury edge", in fact, that Loleatta had her greatest success, for which she will be remembered by new generations – and by those who grew up watching the beginning of MTV Brasil, in 90, 91, 92: "Good Vibrations", track signed by Marky Mark & ​​The Funky Bunch in 1991, which became his first number one on the American charts.
