YouTuber who claimed to have cured homosexuality and cancer with a vegan diet dies

YouTuber Mari Lopez became famous on the streaming platform when she stated, on her channel, that she had been cured of cancer – and homosexuality – thanks to her new vegan diet. Alongside her niece, Liz Johnson, she claimed to have gotten rid of breast cancer by drinking only natural juices and praying. The disease, however, spread due to lack of treatment, and Mari died last year. The duo’s YouTube channel “Liz&Mari” has more than 11 thousand subscribers and thousands of views. After Mari's death, Liz refuses to take the channel off the air. When she realized that the disease had not been cured, Mari asked her niece to remove the videos from the air, as they were false advertising, saying that the diet did not cure her and the lack of treatment led to her death.
