Woman who offended gay couple in the interior of SP is released after paying bail

After paying R$1, the 41-year-old woman, who was arrested after offending a gay couple and arguing with police officers, was released from the Votorantim Women's Prison.

The woman, whose name was not released, is a lawyer and refused to pay bail when first taken to the police station. According to the police, she was accused of insult motivated by homophobia, contempt of authority and damage to public property, for breaking parts of the police vehicle with punches and kicks.

The verbal attack on the gay couple took place in the early hours of last Friday (06), when two men, aged 23 and 47, walked hand in hand in the center of Tietê, 150 km from São Paulo.
